Grow Your Blog Party (Giveaway too)

Hello and a very warm welcome to my blog :)  I thought it would be fun to take part in the Grow Your Blog party being held by 2 Bags Full.  One of my favorite parts of blogging is discovering new blogs from all over the world and who doesn't love followers too!

A bit about me......My name is Angela, I'm married with 2 kids.  Eric is 12 and has Asperger's (a form of Autism) and Julia is 10 and has Attention Deficit Disorder.  Life can be very busy and very stressful.  My blog is about cross stitching which has been my stress relief for just over 20 years now.  I was taught to cross stitch on a dare by my Mom who thought I wouldn't have the patience to finish a project.  HA!  I still share my passion for stitching with my Mom today (her work occasionally makes an appearance here too).

I started my blog almost 5 years ago as a way to connect with others that just understood the excitement of starting a new project or the joy of French Knots!  I've made some truly lovely friends along the way from all corners of the world and for that I am blessed :)  I've always thought that I was literally "hooked" on stitching so that is where I got my blog name.

I also love to read, watch way too much TV and movies.  I enjoy listening to motion picture scores (not soundtracks) by my favorite composers James Horner and John Williams.  I love everything to do with Disney and my favorite character (that I hide behind) is the Evil Queen from Snow White.

As a little thanks for visiting with me today, I'm having a giveaway!  A Sewing Box Giveaway........

Blackbird Designs "Country Garden"
32ct Mushroom Lugana
Floss as charted

Anyone, anywhere in the world can enter.  You don't need to be a follower and you don't need a blog.  I will draw one winner and announce on February 1, 2013.

Thanks for visiting with me today.  If you are new to my blog please feel free to say "hi" and then I can come to visit your blog too :)

Angela, I didn't know you were taught cross stitch on a dare! I'm glad you met the challenge!! I hope you get some time to rest with all that goes on in your day. I sure would be swept off my feet that's for sure! John Williams is an amazing composer!! Lovely sewing box. The winner will be very lucky. I really need to try to do a box finish one day. I bought two boxes, but need some paint. I managed that triangle ornie, so I guess I can manage the box finish!
