A little something for me.....

My Mom stitched this Prairie Schooler design for me last year for Christmas and I thought it was about time to finish it into something!  I've been trying to settle on a way to finish this.....

Design:  PS December
Fabric:  32 ct Mushroom Lugana
Floss is DMC as charted
Finish as a stitchers box

I bet you're surprised to see another box finish, right?  LOL.  I did want a bit of a different look for this one so I asked me Dad to stain a box for me instead of painting it.  I really am very pleased with the way it turned out and is a very welcome addition to my Christmas decorations!

I am so disappointed that I won't be able to send out any Christmas parcels this year to my stitching friends.  I did manage to find a few extra hours at work this week (today and Sunday) but it's not long term or permanent so we need to be frugal until my hubby's hours pick back up again.  The pain in my rhs is also still bad, I've increased my Neurontin but it's not helping this time around.  I see my Family Doctor next week to see what else we can do.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today~

The PS box looks wonderful.
I can understand the Christmas mailing expense...money can be tight anytime for all of us. Christmas wishes are appreciated by those who care.

I love your box finishes! They're always so pretty and this one is no exception. The staining really adds to it! I was showing my husband the pics and he was impressed.
I hope you're feeling better soon Angela. You won't be the only one cutting back this year. Our income has been cut back since I retired and so many of my friends are finding things much tighter.
Love the new look to your blog!
