It's Spring time (again)...

I know what you're thinking! Another flatfold finish :) Gosh, I can't tell you how much I enjoy making these! It takes a bit longer but I just love them, I think it's such a smart way of finishing a design. Of course, my Mom loves them too and has another 3 projects lined up for me to finish into flatfolds. It really is a good thing that I actually enjoy finishing as well as stitching.

This is a Prairie Schooler design stitched by my Mom from the April chart, on 32 ct bone jobelan with the DMC colors listed. I used what seems to be my favorite "green fabric" and trim but funnily enough it just seems to match so many of the finishes perfectly.

We ended up having a wonderful Canada's Day after all, we went over to my husband's brothers house and the kids swam in the pool in the afternoon between storms and enjoyed a BBQ dinner. We then all got to watch a fantastic fireworks display just a few houses down the street, a few families went all out and the fireworks lasted almost 45 minutes. The kids really loved it but my daughter was a bit nervous at first as this was the cause of the bad fire in our apartment building.

I mailed my LK exchange out today too so hopefully that won't take too long to arrive but this is a first for me mailing to this country so not sure what to expect. I also mailed out my RAK to Helen so hopefully that will arrive quickly too. I am now in the process of picking out a design for round 3 of the Prairie Schooler exchange.

If you haven't already, please head on over to Cindy Mae's designs, she just opened up a store and has some wonderful designs :)

Until next time
Happy Stitching!

I have done a couple of pinkeeps and pillows, but haven't tried my hand at flatfolds. Mmmm, might have to try that one. Yours are lovely! I love the PS design your mom stitched, it has very beautiful colors.
Have a good weekend!

Oh Angela, what a wonderful flatfold finish. I've never made a flatfold so far but would like to try it one day. But I'm still waiting for the day when I enjoy finishing as much as stitching, lol.
